Our Philosophy
Health and happiness is your natural state. Your body has unlimited healing power. This is Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in a nutshell. It is one of the oldest medical systems and it is natural and preventative. In ancient China, physicians kept people well; if one of their patients became sick they would lose credibility and business. The patient had to do their part also by following a health-promoting lifestyle.
TCM has been refining the art of healthy living ever since. You take responsibility for your health by having acupuncture and Chinese herbs, and living in a way that balances yin and yang, which builds your Qi (chi) and keeps this Qi flowing to all of your organs.
Your organs are your personal lifestyle disease fighting and health-boosting team. If you give them lots of Qi, they will heal your symptoms before they can become serious and they will keep you healthy and happy.
Your Future Wellbeing
You are not required to come in for ongoing maintenance visits at our clinic. Once you have achieved balance, there is no longer a need for maintenance visits once your healing system is reactivated.
Instead of requiring monthly or other maintenance routines, we trust that you will continue to be well as long as you choose to be. However, you will always find us here, ready to help, should issues arise down the road.
Many of our patients CHOOSE to do monthly visits because they feel recharged and renewed after an acupuncture session. We are always happy to provide this service for you.
Our skill helping people reawaken their innate healing system results in many, many referrals. We are grateful to have a constant, steady stream of new people to serve.
Support for Your Decisions
We never criticise the decisions you make regarding your medical care. Whether you choose a 100% natural route or choose to combine our services with conventional medicine, our goal remains the same. We support you and help you make the most of your chosen path to greater wellness.
Honesty and Integrity
We always strive to maintain complete integrity in our dealings with patients, partners, referring clinics, suppliers, and others with whom we interact.
We will only recommend what is necessary, never more, never less. We will always treat you fairly and with respect. And, we will always do our best to help you in every way with your wellness goals and needs.
What Is Behind The Name?
Yin Studio takes its name from the female concept of yin energy. Yin and Yang are the cornerstones of traditional Chinese Medicine. Yin symbolises sensitivity, acceptance, nurturing, slowness, intuition, relaxation, quietness and stillness. It is all about nourishment at every level - physical, mental and spiritual. Yang symbolises light, activity, heat, rational and logical thinking, forthrightness, mental stimulation. Ideally we want a balance of each of these as they support each other creating harmony of mind, body and spirit.
